Race You To Mike's!

Step back into the 1970’s sports bar era at this friendly place where even NASCAR fans are welcome. You can't miss it thanks to the checkered flag paint job adorning the front of the building.

Open daily until 3 a.m. Mike’s Speedway Lounge is one of Indianapolis’ oldest bars and just walking distance from the famous Indianapolis Speedway home of the Indianapolis 500 and the Brickyard 400. Since 1965 Mike’s Speedway Lounge has been on the corner of Sixteenth Street and Livingston Avenue greeting visitors to the Indianapolis Speedway coming from the downtown area.

The building actually built in 1942 and originally called Turoffs became an immediate destination for the neighborhood and Race Fans on their way to the track. Because of the international Race Fans that have visited Mike’s over the years it has become World Famous for its Spanish Burgers, its Hot Stew, Fried Chicken Livers, and its Chili with recipes that go all the way back to the 1940’s. Live music is often on the schedule at Mike’s especially throughout the racing months.
